Please support us; there are many ways to donate

Can you help St Mary's Parish Church? We are here to serve our community and to work hard for the benefit of all in our area. Coming out of lockdown we seek your help. Like all charities we need the support of the people we serve and ask that you may consider making a donation to the church? Thank you for your continued support.

Donate your time

You are important to God and he calls you to help. Join us in worship and discipleship as we bring God's blessing to the community.

Donate your talents

Gifts and talents are given to each of us, and in return we are called to share them for the benefit of others in Jesus' name. Join us in serving the community; join one of our many teams, groups or ministries. Our members enjoy working together and gain a sense of purpose and belonging.

Donate your money

God is generous, his grace overflows to all. Primarily we encounter this generosity in Jesus, his only son who gave his life that we might live. Donating your money reflects your response to God's love. As a faith based charity we rely on donations to help keep the Church growing.

Donate your giving in a planned and regular way

We are a Christian charity and it is important to resource our mission and ministry as well as meeting rising costs. We encourage members to join our planned giving scheme as a response to God's generous love for his world. Joining our planned giving scheme allows us to plan for the future, and if you pay income tax and want to gift aid your offering we can claim 'tax back'. Similarly if your circumstances change regarding tax/gift aid or you’ve moved address let her know that too.

You can also donate by:

a) sending a cheque to the Parish Office made out to 'St Mary the Virgin, Whickham'

b) making a cash donation, please make sure you take it to the Parish Office to obtain a receipt

c) bank transfer. Our bank details are: Barclays Bank, Sort Code 20 59 61, Account No. 00782971 Please quote the following reference, Donation to St Mary's. If you need a receipt, please send an email to our parish office (click here) and we will acknowledge your kind donation when it arrives..

Donate a legacy

We would encourage all people to leave a legacy for the church of St Mary’s. Legacies should be made in a way which balances the interests and aspirations of donors on the one hand with the ever changing needs of the parish on the other. Legacies help ensure the future work of the church in years to come and many people have given them; for which we are very thankful. If you want to talk about this in greater detail please have a word with our church wardens.
